TopdockTopdock is a marine construction and service business owned and operated by Alex Maas. Servicing Southeastern Wisconsin, Topdock’s mission is to contribute to the beauty of Wisconsin’s lake shores while providing marketable skills and a positive work environment for its employees.
Alex grew up on School Section Lake in the Waukesha County area. He graduated with a bachelor’s in finance from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. After working five years in the finance and accounting industry, Alex decided to go back to his dad’s pier service business to help operate his pier business.
It wasn’t long before he recognized the rising demand for permanent piers and started Topdock – exclusively constructing permanent piers. The company has consistently grown since 2021 and has established itself as a leading permanent pier company in Southeastern Wisconsin.

Topdock was amazing! It’s not only how great the pier looks, but it’s also their attention to detail including painting the permanent posts instead of leaving them rusty or it’s attaching the facia from behind so you don’t see the bolts.
